Information for Landlords and Building Owners

The new act provides that Landlords and Building Owners may now file a notice in the Land Title Office that relieves the owner from reponsibility for improvements done by tenants. This should be done for each property owned. Otherwise, the Building Owner may be held liable for improvements made to his building by a tenant, even if those improvements were not authorized by the owner.
